Meet  Dr. Chuck Dugan

Dr. Chuck Dugan, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Central Florida. Dr. Dugan maintains his license to practice medicine as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), in addition to his credentials as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CED) and Trauma Certified Emergency Nurse (TCRN).

Dr. Dugan began his career as a US Navy Hospital Corpsman in the early 1990s, and after his honorable discharge, began working as a paramedic. From there, he transitioned into nursing with a focus on emergency and trauma care. Aside from the hospital and clinic setting Dr. Dugan also served as an international flight nurse, educator, and disaster response volunteer. Most recently, Dr. Dugan has been elected to the Florida Nurse Practitioner Network Board of Directors.

​With a focus on evidence-based, patient-centered care, Dr. Dugan is driven by meeting individual health needs that are consistent with each patient’s preferences, needs, culture, and desired quality of life.​​

As a family nurse practitioner, Dr. Dugan is well adept at managing chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiac disease, men’s health, and behavioral health concerns. Together with his emergency services background, Dr. Dugan is also available for urgent care needs such as coughs and colds, abdominal pain, minor injury management, minor dermatologic procedures, and more.

In his free time, Dr. Dugan likes to give back to the community, volunteering for local Florida organizations. In 2022 alone, Dr. Dugan provided medical services to participants of the Special Olympic Games and volunteered at the Tidal Wave Party event in Disney Springs, FL.
